Requirements for students wishing to pursue a College of Technology Master’s degree program of study in Organizational Leadership and Supervision are these:
- Potential students are to make themselves known to the OLS certified graduate faculty by meeting with several faculty and/or the Chair of the committee. (Certified faculty names and research interests are available on the CoT website under Graduate Studies.)
- Potential students must produce evidence of successful completion of a Bachelor’s degree (either B.A. or B. S. or the international equivalent) via transcripts denoting the final Grade Point Average (GPA) at the time of graduation. To be accepted into the OLS program, GPAs must be 3.0 or better.
- Graduate Record Exam scores must be presented. GRE scores must be no more than two years old at the time of application.
- Three recommendations by faculty or administrators able to judge potential academic achievement level must be secured. Designations of “above average” or “exceptional” are given consideration.
- Potential students may request to be advised by a particular faculty member; the OLS Graduate Committee may or may not honor the request.
- Applicants should observe these timeframes for submission of their applications.
- Potential students should write a 300-500 word, well developed statement
concerning their goals for graduate study, including the following: - Reasons for pursuing advanced academic studies and career goals
- Business/industry experience acquired (full time work especially)

- Experiences in leading teams
- Adaptability to changing structures or circumstances
- Interpersonal relationship skills

- International non-native speakers of English will submit Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) scores. Scores of 550 or higher for paper-based exams or 213 or higher on computer-based exams are required for consideration. No score more than two years old will be considered.
- Potential students with lower GPAs may be admitted on a case-by-case basis.
Conditional acceptance may be considered in some instances.
- Potential students requesting post-baccalaureate study may be assigned an advisor, providing there is a match between student capabilities and faculty interests. Post-bac hours may not exceed 12 hours before formal admittance must be sought. Post-bac study acceptance does not guarantee admission to the OLS graduate program.
