DO iT!
Discovering Opportunities in Technology
Discover why nearly 600 other Purdue women students are pursuing a field of study within the College of Technology. Attend the college’s “DO iT” (Discovering Opportunities in Technology) program for women, scheduled for Thursday, February 19– Saturday, February 21, 2009.
The College of Technology offers more than 20 majors and specializations in nine technology areas — aviation, building construction management, computer graphics technology, computer and information technology, electrical & computer engineering technology, industrial technology, mechanical engineering technology, manufacturing engineering technology, and organizational leadership and supervision.
Find out more about career options within technology fields and the opportunities for study through Purdue’s College of Technology, one of the largest and most renowned technology colleges in the nation. All students, regardless of gender, are welcome to participate. Participants will join College of Technology faculty and students for:
- Hands-on lab activities
- Academic break-out sessions
- Social activities with members of the Women in Technology student organization
Check-In
Participants may check in on Thursday, February 19, between 1:00 and 2:30 p.m. EST at the PMU Hotel lobby (see the map within this brochure for directions). Please allow ample travel time because the program will begin promptly at 2:30 p.m. EST. The deadline date to Register is Friday, February 3, 2009.
Cost
Thanks to underwriting by corporate sponsors, the cost to attend the DO IT program is only $50 per participant, including all accommodations, meals, and activities.

Location
Purdue University is located in West Lafayette, Indiana. The Lafayette-West Lafayette area is 65 miles northwest of Indianapolis and 90 miles southeast of Gary. Major bus lines provide service to West Lafayette and Amtrak trains make daily stops in Lafayette en route to Chicago and Indianapolis.

Participants will receive a confirmation of their registration from Purdue’s OCEC Business Services.
The DO iT program will take place Thursday, February 19 – Saturday, February 21, 2009.
