Purdue University will operate a new federally funded facility to test aircraft engines and develop alternative fuels in work that also aims to reduce the nation's reliance on imported oil. The National Test Facility for Fuels and Propulsion is funded with a $1.35 million grant from the U.S. Air Force and will be housed in the Niswonger Aviation Technology Building at the Purdue Airport. | |

OLS professor to present free leadership workshop in Indianapolis | |

Purdue University's Manufacturing Extension Partnership will offer a workshop on Nov. 20 in Indianapolis that will focus on leadership. Rodney Vandeveer, a professor in Purdue's organizational leadership and supervision department, will lead the workshop. The workshop, "Leadership Is an Attitude," is free and open to the public. It will especially benefit business owners, management teams and executives, and CEOs. | |
